Gen light flickers, buzzing sound under dash.

I have this issue on 2 different cars.... at idle, the gen light starts to come on, and there is a buzzing sound under the dash. I suspect it's a voltage regulator issue. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Walt,
Most likely you are right about the regulator. I've found that a bad set of points in the old regulators is the culprit.
I've used a new electronic voltage regulator and put on a restored  original cover.
