GS National Pics 2009

So I went last minute and only was there thurs, fri, and sat. Sun am headed home.

I'm glad I made the grueling 13 hr trip. 854 miles and worth it. Nevermind the cool cars, but I got to meet alot of maniacs!!!

I'll post a few pics at a time. The only day I saw any 65' GS's was on thursday. We got 3 hrs sleep and headed to the track by 9 am. So I forgot my camera. Figures right. Turned out to be the only day we got to see any fast buicks.

Thes are the only 64 65's on fri or sat. 11'60's and 12.40 I believe.

I like the big cars too.

The big LeSabre went 12's, with street eliminator heads.

Let's not forget the fastest 65 around, Mr Doug.

I think he went 9.19 149 with the engine Mr John massoud threw together for him.

Joe,

It looks like you had a great time and I'm glad you thought it was worth the investment in cash and time. 

This was the first time in five years that I missed it and honestly I sat here and thought about it the entire time like there was someplace I needed to be. 

Next year hopefully things are different and more of us can meet up there and increase the 65 turn out.

The only way i'm going back next year is if I get a trailer. I feel thats an unnecessary trip for my money under the hood.

I guess this red beauty was there on the first 2 days in which I didn't make. Grrr.

 I have the feeling that I will again have another college graduation at the same time.
