17 x 9.5 rims

thinking about getting some torque thrust rims (there on sale) was wandering if 17x9.5 will fit under the back of the 65? I have the later 8.5 rear also.  was thinking about putting 17x7 on the front.

The 17x7 on the front is just right. What size tires are you planning on ? I have 17x8 on the back of mine with the 4.5" backspacing and they fit fine. I am able to use 245/50-17 on those.

not sure on the tire size yet, I was think of running 255/60 on the rear, I read somewhere to run 245/45 on the front and 255/50 on the rear.  I have some 15x8-3/4 centerlines on there now with 4 3/4 backspacing but they rub some, so Im thinking I dont need no more than 3 3/4 out. guess ill go with the 8" thinking the tire will be to wide with 9.5's

17x8 would be a good choice. My previous post said the backspacing was 4.5" but it really was 4.75". That's a stock backspacing so it saves money. Bought mine through Ron's Rims in Pennsylvania. Whatever size tire you go with will fit nicely on the 8" wheels.
