If you have the old ones, the best thing to do if you cannot find a new set is have yours re-vulcanized.  I will look at my records and find out where I had mine done at and get back to you.

Mine were revulcanized at Steele Rubber - http://166.82.96.3/cgi-bin/v2.exe?yr=65&mk=BU&tp=ALL&pk=TN#31. $81.50 a pair.

Same here. I just had 2 pair done last month. I had them back in two weeks. They do nice work.

The 65-66 GS motor mounts were only avail from the dealer. New ones are extremely, extremely rare.

Hey George, glad you joined us! :occasion14:

And if anyone needs mounts revulcanized, give CARS a call....they told us they'd give 15% off of products from Steele....their online catalog shows a price of $69.25 a pair.

Hey Walt... are they actually offering all 65gs.com members a discount and they are recognizing us as a club?

If so, this is pretty cool and we should maybe try this for other things.

Chris, they sell Steele products to everybody at 15% off.
I don't know of any other discounts, but that's a great idea....you should ask them!

I've actually repro'd a few sets of these using readily available big-car 401 mounts (cut the motor side off for reuse and discard the mount side) plus a piece we custom fabbed in our shop - sent to Steele Rubber whom I believe has the only mold for redoing these and they came back looking just like the real thing.  I have a set on my car and they are holding up great to the 4 speed so far.  Cost ends up being well over $100 set, so I didn't think there was really a market when it's so easy to send originals to Steele for revulcanization.

Pat, that's a great idea.
There's a Nailhead guy in California, Russ Martin. (He's the west coast Nailhead guru)
I bet he would buy these from you if you were to go into production. He has customers looking for mounts.
His website is:
http://www.centervilleautorepair.com/index.html

Complete swap kits would be nice too. The adapter plates would be easy to make, but frame mounts are still needed. Do you have any tips for frame mounts that would work for a 65-66 GS mount setup?
Repo rear sump oil pans would be nice too....
